5 Hello Songs for Preschool & Kindergarten: #2 "Hello Everybody"
#2: "Hello Everybody" – Music Together
This is one of my all-time favorite hello songs because every child gets a chance to be included by name. It's a simple way to help students feel seen and welcomed from the very beginning of music class.
Once the class knows the song, have students stand or sit in a circle. One student sings to the person next to them, using that student's name. The greeting is then passed around the circle until everyone has had a turn.
This activity is perfect for the first few weeks of school because it helps students:
Learn one another's names.
Build a strong classroom community.
Practice singing in a comfortable, low-pressure way.
Develop listening and turn-taking skills.
It's a simple routine that quickly becomes a favorite and sets a warm, welcoming tone for your music class.
