Need a Quick and Easy Music Activity for a Sub? Part 1

🎵 Where Can I Find Quick & Easy Music Activities for a Sub?

Let’s be honest — planning for a sub in the music room isn’t easy. Most of the time, our substitute teacher walks in feeling a little nervous about teaching music. Unless you’re lucky enough to have a music sub on speed dial, you’ll want lessons that are simple, tech-friendly (or not!), and still keep students reviewing and engaging with music.

💻 If Your Sub Can Access Technology

🧩 Bingo Baker

A classroom favorite!
1️⃣ Search “music” (filter for image-only if you prefer).
2️⃣ Choose a card and copy the URL for your sub.
3️⃣ Share the player link for your students.
4️⃣ Or clone the card to make your own — perfect for instrument families, composers, or symbols.

Bonus: You can project the bingo card and play as a whole class!

✏️ If Your Sub Cannot Access Technology

Follow the same steps above, then print out the cards.
🪶 Tip: Skip bingo chips — just have students mark spaces with pencils. Easy cleanup, no missing pieces!
